The Players: Tricia and Tarik have been together for six years. Tarik has finally proposed to Tricia. Their love seems to be strong, but Tricia has issues with Tarik's bestfriend...a female. Simone and Kareem have been together for eleven years. Kareem claims to love Simone, but his constant game of musical beds has Simone spinning around, not knowing how to deal with it. Her dream of being his wife is slowly being clouded with uncertainty. Melissa and Dr. Phil have been married for three years. Phil has promised Melissa that they will have children "when the time is right". At 45yrs old Phil has already decided that he doesn't want kids but has failed to inform his much younger wife. But Melissa must deal with a much bigger problem that has plagued their marriage since day one! Get comfortable as you read this novel because you won't want to put this one down! Author Ty Goode weaves a sinful drama that drips with desire, betrayal, and sex that will surly get your juices flowing. The characters are interesting, and the plot is unpredictable making this a very good read. I was confused as to why Ms Goode wrote the first two chapters in first person and then flipped to third person for the rest of the book. But I am eagerly waiting for the sequel. It look so good felt so good you now it just had to be good. "Sinful Desires" was hot to the touch put you just could not put down. As you read the tale of the three woman, Tricia, Simone, and Melissa, you will be drawn into their lives. What" Sinful Desire" will come between childhood friends. I was so drawn into this wonderfully created tale of lust,love,betrayl. From the first page to the last you will be hooked on is Tricia & Tarik's love really all that? And what about Simone and Kareem, you know what they say a man will do what you allow him to do. I must not forget Melissa & her older Dr. Phil husband. If you want a book that is like a cup of Mawell House coffee "good to the last drop" you must read "Sinful Desires" I will be recommending my book club Sugar & Spice to read it.

In the novel “His Baggage Her load” readers are given an exclusive look into a young woman in love and her trials and tribulations of trying to have the happily ever after but in this literary fiction she will never see that, just about everything but! Author Ty Goode did an amazing job with bringing the main character Kisha to life, her emotions and devotion to her man Kevin will often leave readers wondering why? Why would someone subject themselves to such pain if they could easily prevent it? Why isn’t the only issue you will have while reading this book also another problem that comes to mind is how? How could someone endure all that they did for so long? A genuine thought provoking read. Readers will definitely be delighted and entertained with “His Baggage Her load” and it is truly a book where you are able to relate to something about the characters if you have ever been in love. Author Ty Goode went above and beyond just bringing the characters to life so that you were truly able to relate to but more so, readers will feel as though they are right there going through motions with the characters. Readers will find the book refreshing since it tackles on the subject of infidelity but more on what it in truthfully entails besides the currently regularly used typical happy endings. Though Ty Goode is new to the literary scene, her writing skills will show readers she will definitely have a place in the literary world for the long run!

So yeah I just read this book in about 2 days and it was pretty good but I'm waiting on part2. Its 2006 and with friends like that still aint came out. But this was good I couldn't believe what ol girl did at that wedding, I'm tryingto see whats gonna happen with Phil now that a baby is on the way.

Don't Sleep! ( His Baggage Her Load)

Just because this is not the anxiously anticipating sequel to Sinful Desires, don't sleep on this one folks. It is just as good if not better. There is drama around every corner. So much so that it will make your eyes pop right out of your head with astonishment.

I read this book in two days! I think Ty Goode has stepped her game up. She touched every emotion in my body on this one. Trust it is worth the purchase. I am an avid reader and I know a good book when I read one. Yall definitely need to go cop this one. Ty Goode is doing big things!

Outstanding!!!!!!!!!! (His Baggage Her Load) Tonya (Newark, NJ) Well, Ms. Goode has done it again. I thought her first book was off the hook. His Baggage Her Load is amazing! I'm telling you, you are going to love it. It's about time someone told a story about how much baggage women really carry from men!! The way she makes those characters come to life is phenomonal! You feel like you are right there in those situations. I could not put it down!!! Please pick up this novel, I'm dying to talk to someone about it. She hits so many issues that I'm positive everyone can relate. It's like reading an autobiography of yourself. (SERIOUSLY) You are going to flip out when you finish this book, In my opinion, everyone got what they deserved!!!

Sinful Desires introduces readers to three couples and each couple has issues they are dealing with.
Tricia and Tarik have been dating for seven years.Tricia is thrilled when Tarik pops the big question.She happily accepts but there is one someone important in his life that he would like Tricia to meet.He wants Tricia to meet his bestfriend since childhood.Thing is his bestfriend is a she and goes by the name Melissa.Tricia is uncomfortable upon hearing that and forces Tarik to choose between the two.Tarik will not choose.Tricia goes to her mom and bestfriend for advice.Will she let Tarik get away or will she take the time to get to know Melissa before judging the type of female she is?

Simone is Tricia's best friend and she has been in relationship with Kareem for eleven long years.Simone really loves Kareem despite all the cheating he is doing.She hopes the day will come when Kareem will settle down with her.Will she continue to put up with Kareem's mess or will she give him his walking papers?

Melissa and Phil have been married for three years.Phil is a successful doctor and Melissa works because she wants to.They live in a nice home.She has no friends to hang out with.Ever since she married Phil,she doesnt have a relationship with her parents.Melissa wants to have a baby but Phil is totally against the idea.Phil is manipulative and controlling and cant stand Tarik.He wants to know whom Melissa is with and where she is all the time.When Phil doesnt get his way there is another side to him.When will Melissa wake up and see Phil for who he really is?

Other than the editing issues and the switching back and forth of view points Sinful Desires is a quick and enjoyable read.I am looking forward to reading the sequel.

  Tricia has found the man of her dreams, Tarik. After seven years of dating, Tarik has popped the big question and Tricia couldn't be happier. With the impending wedding, what Tarik wants most is for Tricia to befriend his best friend of several years. Not much to ask for, right? Wrong! Tricia thought Tarik's best friend, his FEMALE best friend, Melissa was a thing of the past. Insecurity then rears its ugly head. Are Tarik and Tricia still headed for marital bliss? Or will the "other woman" derail their plans?

Simone, Tricia's sister/friend, has been in a relationship with the love of her life, Kareem, for eleven years. Question is, does Kareem know he's in a relationship??? He has cheated on Simone so many times that she has lost count. And still, Simone loves her some Kareem. What will it take for Simone to wake up and do better?

Melissa is living what seems to be the picture perfect life. Married to a successful doctor, living in a beautiful home and only working because she wants to, she has it all. But looks can be deceiving. She also has a secret; a secret that many times she has to cover up with a little extra make-up or sunglasses. How long will she make excuses for her husband before enough is enough?

Many authors sacrifice character development for a drama filled plot, while others offer vivid characters tied to a meandering story line. Ty Goode pulls it off providing readers with a good plot and interesting, likeable characters. SINFUL DESIRES is a quick, easy and enjoyable read. However, the book does become problematic at times. First, there were editing issues. In addition, the book changed from first person to third after the first two chapters. Second, the ending was rushed. Unfortunately, it was at the expense of believability. I was really caught up in the story and was disappointed with the anticlimactic ending. Had it not been for those flaws, this easily could have been a 5-star read. That said, SINFUL DESIRES is well worth a read and I look forward to reading WITH FRIENDS LIKE THAT.

 

TAKE THAT!

The scandalous conclusion to Ty's previous titles, Sinful Desires and With Friends Like That, has finally made its appearance on the literary scene. At the close of `With Friends Like That' readers were left in anticipation of more sex, lies, and drama. Well, I'm glad to say Ty remained true to her game!!! Of course Tricia and Tarik are back -this time working to repair their ruptured marriage. Simone and Kareem are now husband & wife with child, but marriage doesn't change old habits...Drama queen Shelly is still in the mix and she doesn't hesitate to up the ante - question is, will the new player she brings into the equation be as easy to manipulate as her former victims?

Ty Goode knows how to keep people reading her books. The elements she incorporates in her stories are true to life and shocking at the same time. I was pleased with the way the story flowed and complimented its predecessors. There were minor editing issues, though not enough to take away from the story. In order to avoid spoilers and for a better understanding of character interaction, the `trilogy' should be read in order. To save yourself the aggravation of not knowing what's going to happen next, I suggest getting all three at one time. You'll be happy you did. Great job Ty!

Conclusion, November 29, 2009 By  LOCKSIE "ARC Book Club Inc" (ARCBOOKCLUBINC.com) -    Fans will remember the venturesome characters from "Sinful Desires" and "With Friends Like That..." with fond memory. Yes they are still sinful and desirous and oh so shamless! Tricia and Tarik, Simone and Kareem, Shelly and Melissa are all back. With issues such as Bi-sexual, to cheat or not to cheat, and one couple are not sure whether to be or not to be. To add to the mix there's a new character all caught up in the dilemma. I always say Ty serves up drama with a capital D!!!! And she has not let me down with her third and final installment of her trilogy. I had to take off one star for other factors I felt at this point should have been on point like the story. Locksie ARC Book Club Inc.
