Ty Goode

Ty Goode was born and raised in Newark (Brick City), New Jersey. She's the mother of one.  Being a single mother of a pre-teenage daughter keeps her fulfilled with PTA, tutoring, track and cheerleading. Ty spends what little free time she has as an avid reader and this fact played a major part in her writing career. She has been writing for over five years.

Ty's writing career just sort of jumped into her hands – literally. In spring 2002, she attended College pursuing a degree in Psychology. An English professor gave a writing assignment and she was told to write about anything that she wanted.  At a loss, Ty had no idea what to write. After a couple hours of twiddling her thumbs, she just began to write. Ty continued to write for hours before looking up and realizing that she was over the four page limit.  Trying to figure what parts of the story to omit, she read and re-read the story and decided that there wasn’t a part that could be eliminated.  Ty remembers thinking, “This story could be a book.” She put the story aside and started another story to turn in for the assignment.

During the summer of 2002, Ty picked up her story and continued right where she'd left off. She wrote every time she got the urge, which seemed to become more frequent. Ty had found another passion.  She then knew she wanted to be a published author. This came to no surprise to anyone who knows her since Ty is an avid reader. You could always find Ty with her head stuck in a novel. Reading is something that came natural to her and she considers it to be her first passion.

Ms. Goode began to research and weigh publishing options. She decided that self-publishing was the way to go. This would guarantee her story got told her way. Ms. Goode is an author of contemporary fiction - which doesn't limit her writing style to urban fiction. ANYONE who picks up a Ty Goode novel can and will relate to the story.

In 2004, Ty Goode founded Tytam Publishing, where she is president & CEO.  Tytam Publishing is a small, independent publishing company on the rise. 

 Although we are not currently accepting submissions , we do offer a wide variety of self-publishing consulting services for a small fee. We offer proofreading services and page layout services at a very discounted price.  We also offer a wide range of contacts for individuals who are considering self-publishing.
